Wikihole, Urban Dictionary

One of my favorite parts of Indian Epics last semester was being able to do so much "unstructured" classwork. The Wikipedia Trails option for extra credit was so much fun it didn't even count as actual classwork in my mind, as I'm a frequent flyer down the wiki-hole (and the internet in general). I struggled the most with the storytelling, and I tried to set aside extra extra time for those in particular. I also found that making enough time for blog comments allowed me to actually provide usable feedback, so I'll try to plan enough time for that also.

It was a little difficult at first to talk myself into completing the extra credit, but eventually I realized that sometimes I wouldn't have time to write a decent story from scratch, and those bonus points are invaluable come finals season, so my goal is to complete at least half of all available bonus points each week just in case I need a little extra time later on.

I LOVED that you could watch videos of great stories as an extra reading option or for more material for projects. The flexibility of the course was perfect for me, because I was able to pursue exactly what interested me the most instead of tediously plodding through eight acts of Shakespeare (who is great, don't get me wrong, but he's a small-dose at a time author for me). Being encouraged to follow my nose was delightful, and I was able to spend as much or as little time as I chose for most of the curriculum. Fantastic!
