Technology
I became pretty familiar with most of our tools used last semester, and I think this semester I'm going to try a different type of website for publishing my project. Last semester I used Wix for a project on Rama's Bridge, which came out great but took up huge chunks of my time making sure all of my formatting and images were aligned and beautiful. This semester I may try something different, like Weebly or even Tumblr, which somehow I've never bothered using before.
Technology has come a long way, and I actually managed to draft and publish a blogger post using only my phone earlier this week (Favorite Places), as my laptop battery had died and the grace period was running out. Miraculously, the blogger app for android worked flawlessly, and I had no issues save chasing down quite a few typos. It is difficult to talk about technology without referencing the Technologic song released by Daft Punk waaaaaaay back in 2005, so here's a nice music interlude. This is the song the plays in the back of my head every time I sit down for a mega-homework session, and I'm definitely someone who works better with at least some kind of ambient noise.
The course websites are pretty easy to navigate, but sometimes I struggled keeping all of my bookmarked sites in place. I downloaded Diego as a browser extension, but never really started using it wholeheartedly, which I plan to change this time around. Setting up everything for a final project should be a lot easier if I keep it all in one place!
