Week 8 Comments and Feedback Review

The majority of feedback provided has been quite helpful, pointing out both strengths and weaknesses of my storytelling. The most useful have been those indicating what ideas in my stories could use more explanation, especially in regards to the authors notes.

The WWW strategy is great! I'm a little shy about critiquing the works of others, but using the "I wonder" phrasing allows me to offer suggestions without coming across as harsh. I also like this technique because praise is equally important for timid authors, and there is almost always something exceptional to genuinely appreciate. I tend to focus on what kind of balance exists between action and descriptive elements, and that's ironic as this is one of my greatest opportunities in my work as well.

I've really enjoyed the diverse backgrounds of the students in this class, and I'm comfortable with my blog introduction this semester. My comment wall could use a little work, but I'm going to hammer out the specific details for the embedded Twine files and navigation between stories in the Google site before updating my comment wall (TBD this week).

Perfectionism and writing can be really limiting if I allow myself to think of completed assignments as done. I liked this growth cat because while an idea may seem complete and logical to me, others may find opportunities for improvement. I like the idea that things can continue to improve.

Feedback tells you that you can go higher.
